Description
MOBILE WELDING FUME EXTRACTOR (LEV) – WELDABILITY PROTECTOXTRACT 230V
The ProtectoXtract by Weldability is a cost effective localised exhaust ventilation (LEV) unit suitable for welding tasks. The ProtectoXtract is an approved mobile, high vacuum extraction system of particulate fumes, dusts and some gases.
Designed as a welding bay, workshop or garage extraction system the ProtectoXtract weighs just 80Kgs and is supplied on casters for manoeuvrability. A 3m cantilever arm with internal joints inside the arm can be manipulated to position the extraction hood in a convenient position as to not hinder welding/grinding activity.
Please see the video tab below for a look at the extractor goes together and how the filters are fitted.
Summary

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When used with processes that produce spatter and/or grinding sparks the optional ProtectoSpark (EXT978013) MUST be used. The ProtectoSpark is now supplied as standard with the welding and grinding ProtectoXtract system
The ProtectoXtract should NOT be used for filtering fumes containing oil, solvents, explosive dusts/gases or hybrid mixtures of wastes, etc.
When considering LEV systems for the workplace, its worth looking at the governments health and safety executive guidance to ensure any equipment is fit for purpose.
