MOBILE WELDING FUME EXTRACTOR (LEV) – WELDABILITY PROTECTOXTRA 230V

The ProtectoXtra offers a system with cleanable filters at a reasonable price point.

The ProtectoXtra by Weldability is a cost effective localised exhaust ventilation (LEV) unit suitable for welding tasks.  Cleanable filters offer lower long term running costs when compared to disposable filtered systems.  The ProtectoXtra is an approved mobile, low vacuum extraction system of particulate fumes, dusts and some gases.

When considering an LEV extraction system, its worth considering running costs.  A disposable filter unit is cheaper to buy but the replacement filters get expensive quickly.  The ProtectoXtra is a little more expensive to buy initially but quickly offsets the cost in one filter change.

Designed as a welding bay, workshop or garage extraction system the ProtectoXtra weighs 170Kgs and is supplied on casters for manoeuvrability.  A 3m cantilever arm with external joints inside the arm can be manipulated to position the extraction hood in a convenient position as to not hinder welding/grinding activity.

Further Information

The W3 compliant ProtectoXtra should NOT be used for filtering fumes that contain oil, solvents, explosive dusts/gases or hybrid mixtures of wastes, etc.

Compliant with DIN EN ISO 15012-1, so is suitable for category W3 stainless welding fumes (>30% Ni+Cr).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The ProtectoXtra should NOT be used for filtering fumes containing oil, solvents, explosive dusts/gases or hybrid mixtures of wastes, etc.
