A 15KG spool of Weld Star 1.0mm 82 MIG Welding Wire (NiCr-3). Designed for welding nickel based alloys such as 600 and 800 series. It is also suitable for welding and joining of dissimilar materials such as stainless steel and carbon steels.

Available in diameters of 1.0 and 1.2mm. Precision wound and layered for superior wire feeding characteristics.  Used in applications for industries such as chemical and petrochemical, power generation plants and furnace equipment production.

Weld Star (NiCr-3) Alloy 82 MIG filler wire has an excellent range of mechanical properties, such as high levels of strength and good resistance to the effects of corrosion.  Additionally, it also has excellent oxidation resistance plus creep rupture strength, particularly at high temperatures. Moreover, Weld Star Alloy 82 MIG Welding Wire has a wide working temperature range, from applications requiring cryogenic levels (between -150°C and -273°C) up to approximately 520°C. As a result, it is the most widely used welding wire within the Nickel (Ni) alloy family.

The chemical composition of this filler wire also enhances its mechanical properties.  Achieved with increased amounts of Chromium (Cr) resulting in good natural hardness and excellent resistance to the effects of corrosion.  Elevated levels of Nickel (Ni) also significantly contribute to the effectiveness of the mechanical properties of this filler wire.  In a similar way to Chromium (Cr) this addition improves resistance to corrosion and improved impact toughness.

It refers to the ability of a material to resist the effects of elevated temperatures without deforming or failing. It is represented in welding terms as the expression of the amount of stress encountered combined with the length of time it takes for the material to rupture and fail due to constant load and high temperatures.
