SIF 316L STAINLESS STEEL 1.0MM TIG WELDING RODS – 2.5KG

A 2.5kg pack of 1.0mm TIG welding filler rods.  316L is the most popular of the stainless filler rods, suitable for most stainless steel grades.  316 Grade Stainless is the most corrosion resistant of the stainless steel grades.  Commonly used for food preparation areas as well as marine applications.

A molybdenum bearing, stainless steel filler rod with low carbon content. It is corrosion resistant for welding molybdenum bearing austenitic stainless steels. A solid wire for depositing a low C -19% Cr -12% Ni -2.8% Mo weld metal for the welding of 316 and 316L stainless steels.

WELDING POSITIONS

For use in all positions except vertical down.

MATERIAL TO BE WELDED

The wire is used for a range of applications including the fabrication of pipe and plate. The weld metal provides good resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion by non-oxidising acids. Intended for applications where service temperatures do not exceed 400°C.
