The Mosa GE 50 PSSX is a water cooled, super silenced, Perkins powered generator featuring the usual top quality Mosa build quality. A Diesel Perkins 1103A – 33TG1 engine and a Three-phase synchronous alternator generates 51 kVA Three Phase power and 17 kVA Single Phase.

The Mosa GE 50 PSSX is a super silenced generating set incorporating an integral roll bar, central lifting point and forklift pockets. A hinged rear canopy allows easy access to the engine for maintenance purposes. A 100 Litre Diesel tank provides 12 hours running time of the ample Perkins motor. Weighing 1100kg, the machine is relatively compact and easily transportable when using an optional site or road tow trailer.

Attention to detail can be seen in the rounded edges of the canopy designed for rainwater drainage away from the control panel.

The bunded base must ensure the containment of fluids in the engine and fuel tank in the event of any loss, to prevent their dispersion in the environment.

Being equipped with AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation) control ensures very stable power for equipment including sensitive electronics, computers, power tools etc. A compound system overrides the AVR in event of a heavy load being applied and also provides a backup voltage regulation in the event of AVR failure. The control panel houses the sockets and machine controls including circuit breaker and engine protection device.

EAS models are pre-wired to accept the optional MOSA EAS Automatic Start-Up Panel which plugs into the front panel of the Generator and enables the machine to be used as an emergency standby power unit in the event of power failure from the mains supply.

Also available is an optional TCM remote control allowing start/stop of the engine up to 10 metres distance from the machine.

Suitable for a wide range of uses including industrial sites, residential, construction, noise sensitive environments and emergency standby power.

COMPOUND AND AVR EXPLAINED

Having both functions gives double assurance of the power supply: With this system both AVR and Compound control systems are normally active. When a heavy load current is required (example – motor starting) the compound regulation overrides the AVR thereby ensuring high availability of required current. In standard operating conditions the AVR regulation prevails, which ensures high quality, precise control of the AC output.

In case of AVR failure, the Compound regulation maintains voltage regulation, albeit with reduced control characteristics.

These systems make the generator perfect for running machines (like a compressor for example) or sensitive equipment (like laptops etc)
