METALYNX PRO 4.5″  FLAP DISC – ZIRCONIUM | 60 GRIT

A good quality 4.5 inch flap disc suited to weld seam removal, surface blending, edge grinding, and weld preparation.  Available in a number of different grit options.  The larger the grit number, the more abrasive the flap disc.

The Metalynx brand 4.5 inch flap discs provide consistent finishing performance. Reduced vibration over depressed-centre grinding discs. Zirconium is suited to most ferrous metals, for weld seam removal, surface blending, edge grinding and weld preparation.

Flap discs are versatile grinding and finishing tools, consisting of three main components: a backing plate, adhesive and abrasive cloth flaps. The rectangular flaps are overlapped and glued to the backing plate. Flap discs are designed for right angle grinder applications ranging from heavy stock removal to surface blending.

For harder steels and stainless, Ceramic is ideal.  Ceramic flap discs can be used for weld blending and surface cleaning.  They also provide longer life on mild steel and cast iron.
