GeKa – ER 80S-G | Corten MIG Wire (0.8mm) 15kg
Corten MIG welding wire has excellent capabilities for weather resistant structural welding, this is achieved by combining copper and nickel which offer great protection against atmospheric corrosion. Which makes Corten MIG wire a great choice for outdoor requirements that demand an artistic aesthetic due to it’s reddish rust or patina look.
Corten, or weathering steel does not prevent rust. The material allows the outer exposed surface to form a quick drying, thick rust which effectively forms a paint-like layer. This rust coating then prevents the un-reacted material from the atmosphere to allow it to last longer. This outer rust appearance provides an artistic patina, used widely for artistic installations and in industry.
With a 15kg spool, this product is precision wound offering a superior controlled feed.
Recommended use for construction of containers, tanks, bridges, building panels, chimneys, means of transport, offshore platforms.
