AVENTICS 1/2 INCH AQUA PURGE FILTER REGULATOR
This Aventics aqua purge filter regulator is perfect for use with our range of air compressors. Control air pressure and reduce water in the air hose. The aqua purge is an increased level of water removal in air lines over the standard filter regulator. Two filters remove water – initially 5 micron, with the second filtering down to 0.01 micron.
A bit of equipment, often overlooked when buying an air compressor. A filter regulator allows the user to control the amount of pressure being delivered to the air tool / equipment being used. Many air compressors deliver 10 bar (145 psi) which is too much for most air driven equipment. For example, a typical tool runs at 70 – 90 PSI. Too high a pressure going to the tool can cause the equipment to wear out rapidly, at worst it can make it lethal.
A by-product from compressing air is water. The air is warmed during compression of air and when it cools down, condensation occurs causing water. A filter regulator filters out water from the air hose, preventing it getting to the air tool. Again, water can cause deterioration of the tool/equipment and can be unwanted in applications such as paint spraying etc. The aqua purge filter is particularly suited to running air fed masks and paint spraying equipment

NOTE: For maximum efficiency of a filter regulator, mount as far from the air compressor as possible. This allows the air to cool prior to filtration.
