WELDING POSITIONERS, TURNTABLES AND PIPE ROLLERS

Welding positioners greatly enhance productivity when welding pipe, shafts, wheels, elbows and other round fittings. Along with welding turntables, pipe turning positioners are particularly useful when rotating or positioning workpieces with large offset loads.

Welding pipes or rounded objects can be difficult without the aid of a welding turntable.  Consistent good looking welds are made easier on rounded pieces with a welding positioner.  Having to move around the item being welded to get into the best position can result in start and stops in the weld.  In instances where lots of pieces are to be welded, this can also cause fatigue to the welder and decrease his/her productivity.  With a welding positioner, the welder can stay in one position whilst the work rotates.  A steady hand and the correct weld settings can result in a very consistent aesthetically pleasing weld.

Furthermore, semi-automated welding processes are possible with the use of a positioner.  By using a torch holder, the operator can set up the perfect torch position, clamping it in place and the rotation of the job can produce repeatable quality welds every time.  Automation can increase productivity, reduce worker fatigue and improve weld quality.

Chucks, also available in this category are great for use alongside a positioner.  The jaws allow for inside or outside clamping of tube, pipe or vessels to ensure they are accurately centred and firmly fixed in place.

Welding turn tables can be used for polishing, painting and shot blasting.
