WELD CLEANERS

A nice alternative to the use of harmful and expensive pickling pastes, weld cleaners are power sources proving low voltages and high current outputs to clean stainless steel welds.

Pickling pastes are an effective way of cleaning welds, however, the process is slower, creates fumes and can leave a slight residue as a result.  An electrolytic weld cleaner is a quick and clean way to remove the iron based oxides created during a stainless weld.  The result is a bright and attractive finish on the stainless steel weld – perfect when the weld is going to be seen by the end user.

The machine acts as a power source, much like a welding machine and by using an earth clamp and electrode, the current flows through the workpiece.  A light brushing of the weld with the wand with an electrical conductive cleaning fluid removes contaminants.  Easy to use and without many of the dangers associated with pickling pastes.
