TIG WELDING TORCH SPARES
TIG Torch spares are an essential stock item for a welder of any level. TIG welding torch consumables can be changed easily and if not changed when needed can affect the weld appearance and strength of the weld. Listed here are perhaps the most popular, Weldcraft® type TIG torch consumables. Weldcraft®, produced quality TIG torches many years ago (and continue to do so) and since, the design has been copied extensively. Most manufacturers supply their TIG welding machines with Weldcraft® type torches because parts are so widely available.
Weldcraft® torches can be identified as either WP9, WP17, WP12, WP18, WP20, WP24 and WP26. Listed here on the site, are consumables for the most popular and commonly seen torches, but if you cannot see what spare you require, please let us know.
Below are the spares available, with a brief description of each:
Ceramics / Gas lens ceramics – The end of the torch which directs shielding gas onto the weld. Available in a range of different sizes.
Gas lens bodies – Used in place of a collet body, which improves gas flow by minimising turbulence.
Collet body – Screws into the torch and clamps onto the collet, securing the tungsten in place.
Collet – The collet grips the tungsten, but also transfers electricity from the torch onto the tungsten electrode.
Back caps – Available as small, medium or long, the back cap applies pressure to the back of the collet to keep it in place. The back cap also shields the tungsten electrode from the atmosphere.
