TIG WELDING GLOVES

A selection of TIG welding gloves we have hand picked to suit virtually any TIG welder.  From a cost effective mordant leather TIG glove to the premium quality calf skin gloves for the discerning welder.

TIG Glove Fitment

A TIG welding glove is much thinner than a “standard” MIG welding gauntlet.  The tight fit of the glove is required to give an increased level of feel required for TIG welding, where precision is needed.  A good fit allows easy feeding of the filler wire through the welders’ hands to accurately add filler metal to the weld puddle to achieve a consistent weld along the joint.  Furthermore, the heat and spatter generated from TIG welding is generally less than with MIG welding, where greater thickness of the glove can protect the hand.

The different materials used to make TIG gloves have an effect on the overall fit as well as the longevity of the glove.  Choose from mordant leather, calf skin, deer skin and goat skin.  The more expensive gloves may also have better stitching materials such as kevlar thread, which will help prevent the curling of the fingertips and shrinking.  Some of the TIG gloves we offer also have size choices to suit the operator’s hand size, and again, this will help with the tight fit you ideally want for this process.

We have a number of TIG gloves in our shop, over and above those we have listed here available for trying on.  We often find that whilst one TIG glove may suit one person, another welder may have a better fit and feel with a completely different glove.

Check out the TIG finger for added wear and heat protection on the surface of the hand making contact with the job.

Please feel free to let us know if you would like any gloves not already listed here, or if you would like a quote on a bulk purchase of TIG gloves.
