MIG Welding Gloves
Welcome to our hand picked selection of MIG gloves / gauntlets, which are also suitable for MMA (stick) welding. Our range caters to all budgets, from entry level budget friendly standard MIG welding gauntlets, right up to the premium quality Weldas glove for the discerning welder or the aluminised glove for high heat applications.
Welding Gauntlets
A welding gauntlet is different to gloves designed for TIG welding processes. The main difference is the weight of the leather and any insulation / padding. The MIG and stick welding processes are more likely to produce weld spatter, hence the requirement for extra protection from a heavier glove. MIG and stick welding are less precise welding processes too, so the need for “feel” offered by thinner TIG gloves is less of a requirement. The higher quality gloves tend to have additional heat protection, will be made from a different cut of leather and may have thread made of kevlar. These features tend to make the gloves last longer and less prone to shrinkage and curling of the fingers.
Fitment
Most welding gauntlets will come in size 10 as a “one size fits all”. Some of our offering do have size choices to suit your hands, such as the Weldas glove and the Black Panther range from Parweld.
For high heat applications, it is worth checking out the Parweld Aluminised gauntlet or the aluminised hand pad, both of which are designed to reflect heat.
Our shop has a wide range of welding gauntlets in stock, available to try on if you are in the area.
If you would like a particular glove to suit you or would like to discuss buying gauntlets in bulk, feel free to let us know.
