PARWELD STICK WELDERS
Above is the full range of Parweld MMA inverters. Ranging from 140 to 400 amps, the Parweld range are lightweight and ideal for everyday maintenance work up to heavy applications. Solid casings and IP23S enclosure ratings also make these units robust for mobile use.
PARWELD ARC WELDER RANGE GUIDE
Hot start – Featured on all Parweld XTS machines apart from the XTS 143. Hot start is a function which assists arc starting of the electrode. The machine will automatically temporarily increase output current to initiate the arc at the start of the weld. Hot start is adjustable on the XTS 403 MMA inverter.
Arc force – Again, featured on all Parweld XTS machines apart from the XTS 143. Similar to hot start, this function increases output current when the arc length becomes too short. Arc force helps to prevent the electrode sticking to the work piece during welding. Arc force is adjustable on the XTS 403 MMA inverter.
Cellulosic compatible – The XTS 166RC and XTS 403 MMA stick welders are suitable for use with cellulosic electrodes.
Lift TIG – All Parwelds XTS range, apart from the 143 come with lift TIG functionality. All of their stick welders can be used for TIG welding though when used with a basic TIG torch with gas valve. The XTS 143 can be used for scratch start TIG – the user must strike the arc, much like a match. Lift TIG is an improvement on scratch start, because the user can touch the tungsten briefly onto the work piece and lift the torch slightly to establish the weld. Lift TIG increases tungsten electrode lifespans and decreases contamination in the weld.
If you are considering doing a fair amount of TIG welding though, Parwelds XTT TIG inverter range would be a better option. All machines have high frequency start for uncontaminated arc starting and integrated gas solenoids for automatic gas control.
Remote Control – Parwelds XTS 166RC stick welder is unique in the range. A remote control pendant can be connected to the machine to remotely control current. This is particularly useful for operators welding in confined or hard to reach areas. If the machine cannot be next to the welder, the welder can use the remote control to make adjustments.
Generator friendly – All Parweld XTS welders can be run from a generator, making them highly versatile for mobile work. Each product listing has the generator power requirement listed. They can cope with voltage fluctuations of ±15%. It is however recommended they are used with generators equipped with AVC (automatic voltage control).
