SPARE PARTS / CONSUMABLES FOR JASIC PLASMA CUTTER TORCHES

Jasic torch spares are available next day in many cases.  The plasma torch provides the precision targeting of the plasma cutting process.  The main consumable parts in the plasma cutting torch are the electrode, gas distributor, and cutting tip. A shielding cap can improve the quality of the cut and all parts are held together with retaining caps.

A breakdown of plasma torch consumables and their functions are listed below:

Cutting tip – the cutting tip provides a restricted opening which the compressed air and electric arc passes through.  The temperature of the gas rises to a point where it reaches the 4th state of matter – plasma.  The metal being cut forms part of the circuit and the electrical conductivity of the plasma causes the arc to transfer to the work piece.  The high speed air passing through the tip cuts through the molten metal.

Swirl ring / gas distributor – Swirls the air through the torch passed the electrode, causing the plasma to expel at high speed.
